Canna Clouds remains open and committed to serving adult customers while following current Texas requirements.
A Texas Department of State Health Services controlled-substances schedule affecting delta-8 THC became effective on July 31, 2026. The updated state position treats manufactured delta-8 THC and certain other non-delta-9 THC compounds as controlled substances. Only naturally occurring trace amounts of delta-8 THC in hemp are considered permissible under the current DSHS guidance.
What Canna Clouds Is Doing
Before the July 31 effective date, our team began reviewing and separating potentially affected products.
Our compliance process includes:
- Quarantining products associated with affected THC compounds
- Reviewing product labels and ingredient information
- Checking available certificates of analysis
- Verifying cannabinoid profiles and reported concentrations
- Removing products that cannot be confidently verified
- Updating employees on current purchasing and identification requirements
A product will not be made available for sale simply because its packaging previously described it as “hemp legal.” Every product must pass our current review process.
Products Affected by the Update
Canna Clouds will not offer products labeled or verified as containing prohibited concentrations of delta-8 THC or other affected non-delta-9 THC compounds.
This may include products marketed with names such as:
- Delta-8 THC
- Delta-10 THC
- THC-P
- Other converted, synthesized, or non-delta-9 THC variants
Product names and marketing terms are not always standardized. Because of that, our team relies on labels, ingredient information, lab reports, manufacturer documentation, and current official guidance—not solely the name printed on the package.
What May Remain Available
Texas continues to recognize hemp products containing no more than 0.3% delta-9 THC on a dry-weight basis, provided the products satisfy all other applicable requirements.
Canna Clouds will continue reviewing eligible delta-9 products individually. Availability depends on the product’s formulation, labeling, documentation, certificate of analysis, product category, and current legal requirements.
Certain rules affecting THCA and smokable hemp products have also been involved in separate court proceedings and regulatory actions. These products receive additional review and will not be offered unless Canna Clouds determines that the product satisfies our current compliance standards.
Age and Identification Requirements
Customers must be at least 21 years old to purchase consumable hemp products in Texas. A valid government-issued photo ID must be inspected before an applicable sale is completed.
Please have your identification ready when visiting a Canna Clouds location.
Protecting Yourself as a Customer
Customers should keep all products in their original packaging and retain the label and lab information supplied with the product.
Never drive or operate machinery after consuming an intoxicating product. Keep all products secured and away from children and pets. Do not use a product when its ingredients, serving information, or laboratory documentation are unclear.
